Today we made the most of the continuing sun and went to Washpen falls about one hours drive from Christchurch. It is on private land and there is an honesty box where you put $10 pp (if you have change had to go knocking on there door for some!!) in for track guide and walking sticks. Was a great walk with awesome views and a hidden gem at the end - a lake with dining area:-) We also bought a jar of honey which they made from the local bees for $5
